Ritual Overview
Most astral work treats each journey as a fresh negotiation with the unknown. The Sigil Key inverts that: it front-loads the difficulty into a single careful sigil-creation session, producing a permanent glyph that functions like a key to one specific astral 'address' — a favorite temple, a recurring dreamscape, or a location scried in advance.
The practitioner first scries or dream-visits the destination normally, memorizing its distinguishing features, then condenses that memory into a statement of intent ('I return to the amber library at will') and reduces it to a sigil through standard letter-elimination sigil-craft. The finished glyph is charged not once but repeatedly, each time paired with the destination's memory, until the two become inseparable in the mind.
Once fully bonded, the sigil can be glanced at, traced in the air, or simply visualized before sleep to open near-immediate passage to the linked location — turning a laborious projection into something closer to using a well-worn door.
