The Sixth Pentacle of the Sun is recorded in Book I of the Key of Solomon (Clavicula Salomonis) among the seven solar pentacles. It stands apart from most of its siblings, which are largely concerned with radiance, dominion, and renown, because its documented function points the other way entirely: the grimoire describes it as serving "excellently for the operation of invisibility," a seal built not to be seen but to pass unremarked.

The paradox of a solar seal governing concealment is deliberate within Solomonic cosmology. The sun does not merely illuminate — at its zenith it can also overwhelm the eye, and it is this dazzling, obscuring quality that the Sixth Pentacle is understood to invoke: not true physical invisibility, but the practical, well-documented experience of being overlooked, of slipping through a crowded room, a hostile environment, or an unwanted line of attention without drawing the eye. It is a working favored by those who need to move through a dangerous or exposed situation without becoming its focal point — leaving a difficult gathering unnoticed, passing through a threatening area unremarked, or simply wanting a day where no one's attention lands on them.

The pentacle is drawn on a Sunday, but consecrated as the moon wanes toward darkness, deliberately pairing the sun's public, illuminated day with the moon's concealing shadow to draw out the seal's documented function of unseen passage. It is carried or worn only for the specific passage it is needed for, then set aside.
