The foundational chaos magick ritual for creating an artificial consciousness — a servitor — that operates independently to carry out the practitioner's will.
Ritual Overview
The Chaos Servitor is the quintessential chaos magick working — the creation of an artificial spirit, a thought-form given life and independence through the power of gnosis. Servitors are created for specific purposes: protection, information gathering, influencing situations, carrying out recurring magical tasks, or any other function the practitioner can imagine. Unlike traditional spirits, servitors have no independent history or will — they are entirely the creation of the magician.
The creation process follows a precise sequence: conception (designing the servitor's purpose and form), birth (charging it with energy in a state of gnosis), feeding (providing it with a continuous energy source), and release (sending it into the world to carry out its function). Each step is critical, and the servitor must be given a specific "lifespan" — a set duration after which it is ritually terminated, or it may become a lingering thought-form.
The servitor's form, name, and sigil are created from the statement of its purpose. Using the standard chaos sigilization method, the practitioner condenses the servitor's mission statement into a unique sigil, which becomes the servitor's "face" — its identity in the astral world. The servitor is then charged with life force through gnosis and released.
Ritual Steps
Design the Servitor
Write a clear statement of the servitor's purpose in one sentence. Example: "My servitor protects my home from negative energy." Define its form (animal, geometric shape, humanoid), its name (created from the purpose statement), and its lifespan (specific date or "when the purpose is fulfilled").

The servitor's form takes shape in your imagination — a wolf, a sphere of light, a faceless figure. You see it clearly, every detail.
Create the Sigil and Vessel
Write the statement of purpose. Remove vowels and repeated letters. Arrange the remaining letters into a unique sigil. Draw this sigil on the parchment, then fold it and place it in the container. Add a personal energy source (a hair, a drop of blood or saliva on the sigil).

As you draw the sigil, the servitor's consciousness begins to form within it — a spark of awareness, waiting to be ignited.
Enter Gnosis
Use any method to achieve a gnostic state (rapid breathing, chanting, spinning, orgasm, sensory deprivation). The goal is to reach a state where the conscious mind is silenced and pure intent remains.

Visualization
Your conscious mind fades into the background. Only the pure intention of creating the servitor remains, burning like a single flame in the void.
Birth the Servitor
In the peak of gnosis, hold the container (with the sigil inside) and pour all your energy into it. Visualize the sigil blazing with light and the servitor's form stepping out of the sigil, alive and aware. Speak its name aloud. This is the moment of birth.

The sigil explodes with light in your astral vision. The servitor's form steps out of the container — at first translucent, then solid. It turns to face you, awaiting its first command.
Program and Release
While still in a trance state, speak the servitor's purpose to it clearly. Give it operating instructions: how it performs its function, how it reports back, and its lifespan. Then command it to begin its work. Offer it the food as its first feeding. Place the container in a safe place as its home.

Visualization
The servitor nods, turns, and dissolves into the astral plane, moving toward its first task. A thin silver cord connects it back to the container — its anchor to you.
Warnings & Ethics
Never create a servitor without a defined lifespan. An un-terminated servitor can become a lingering thought-form or entity. Always include a termination condition and a method to recall and destroy the sigil.
