Invocation of the Seven Planetary Archangels

The heptagon at the heart of the Sigillum Dei Aemeth, the great seal of the Sworn Book of Honorius, bears the names of seven archangels, each bound to one of the seven classical planets in the same correspondence used throughout medieval and Renaissance ceremonial magic: Cassiel to Saturn, Sachiel to Jupiter, Samael to Mars, Michael to the Sun, Anael to Venus, Raphael to Mercury, and Gabriel to the Moon. This working draws that correspondence out of the seal and into a standalone invocation, letting the practitioner call on the archangel whose planetary domain matches the need at hand — Sachiel for expansion and fortune, Michael for clarity and vital strength, Raphael for communication and learning, and so on through the full wheel.

Traditionally, each archangel is invoked on the day of the week ruled by their planet — Saturday for Cassiel and Saturn, Thursday for Sachiel and Jupiter, Tuesday for Samael and Mars, Sunday for Michael and the Sun, Friday for Anael and Venus, Wednesday for Raphael and Mercury, and Monday for Gabriel and the Moon — though the Sworn Book's broader framework allows the invocation to be performed whenever the need is pressing, with the correct day treated as an amplifier rather than a strict requirement.

The invocation is performed before the consecrated Sigillum Dei Aemeth where possible, using the archangel's name as it appears on the seal's heptagon as the primary word of power. Where no seal is available, the name alone, spoken with the same care and reverence the Sworn Book demands throughout, is held to carry the working.
